Italtrike children’s movement toys support reforestation in Guatemala

Italtrike has launched Let’s Grow the Future, a new sustainability project. This new initiative has been created in collaboration with zeroCO2, a benefit company involved in reforestation with a high social impact. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the children’s movement toys will be used to plant 500 fruit trees. These trees will neutralise 317,550 kg of carbon dioxide over 15 years. In addition, 10 farming families in Guatemala will be financially supported through the sale of the harvested fruit. This environmental and social commitment, in which the company strongly believes, is part of a wider process focused on sustainable development and education for sustainability. In ten years Italtrike will thus be carbon neutral.

In 2020, the calculation of CO2 emissions produced by each individual company activity began. The aim is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The first step was the optimisation processes of the production chain with the elimination of single-use plastics in favour of recyclable materials.
