On the occasion of Forest Day we want to tell you the story of the “Italtrike forest”.

The forest is part of our “Objective Zero CO2” program.
A program made up of multiple actions, methods and conduct in the various company areas,
which aims to minimize emissions from production and management processes and at the same time
to increase the positive impact of our company and products, both on an environmental and social level.

The “Italtrike forest” project began in 2021 in Guatemala.
A reforestation project which today includes 1500 fruit trees, which in addition to their natural help in cleaning the air,
they are a source of livelihood and work for local communities, who are directly involved in their care and management.

Every year we support the growth of the Italtrike forest by planting more trees.
Why do we do this?
Because trees are a concrete, simple and effective response to the planet’s profound climate and economic crisis.
Because trees can give life to those who take care of them.
Because they are the green lung of our planet.
Because they help mitigate the climate, give refreshment and shelter to living beings.
Because they not only help our physical well-being but also our mental well-being.
Because trees soften and make cities livable.
Because they evoke memories, emotions and thoughts.
Because they are alive, they grow and transform together with us.
Because they keep us company.
Because they make landscapes and panoramas unique.
Because we believe it is also our responsibility to do so.
The list of reasons could go on and on and so the only question that remains is “why not do it?”

We were able to turn this project into reality thanks to the close collaboration with zeroCO2.
A Bcorp committed to combating the climate and social crisis through concrete solutions such as the reforestation of degraded areas,
to give help to the planet and a future to people.
